Michael's lifelong enthusiasm for interiors made leaving his successful automotive business easy. Even as a child he recalls adjusting furniture placement, accessories, and lighting in his family home. He opened his design studio in November 2006, a landmark for his 2nd career.

The firm has designed projects as intimate as a master suite to entire large custom homes. Michael predominantly has clients in his home state of Michigan as well as throughout the United States. His style is modern and classic incorporating new industry furniture pieces with antiques from around the world. His skill with a sense of space, scale, and placement are keys in creating lovely interiors. The most successful projects seem to be very fluid, mixing many periods and styles. Clients appreciate his preoccupation with making every interior an authentic reflection of its owner.

We have worked with clients with all sorts of budgets. I was raised by a mother who came from privilege and a father from a single mother who was blessed to be a great athlete. I was exposed to both ends of the wealth spectrum, which is why I enjoy the “splurge” and get super excited for the “hunt” for exceptional value.
